However, as part of its mission, the DC Housing Finance Agency is working hard to make sure the dream remains attainable. By offering low-cost, fixed-rate mortgages, the Agency helps everyday people realize that the American Dream is affordable, still.

In its efforts to fulfill its commitment to making affordable housing a reality for prospective homebuyers in the nation's capital, the Agency provides free homebuyer education workshops; credit and budget counseling referral assistance; and affordable mortgages. Through its Home Resource Center, DCHFA can take individuals through the entire homeownership process, from learning how to buy a home to obtaining a mortgage loan.
