DCHFA Executive Director, Harry D. Sewell, Discusses The Newly Restructured DC Bond Program on the Insight Segment of The Daily Drum, WHUR 96.3 FM’s Evening News and Information Radio Call-In Program.
On May 17, 2010, the Executive Director of the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency, Harry D. Sewell, was featured during the Insight segment of The Daily Drum to discuss the recent revival of the DC Bond Program, DCHFA’s single family mortgage product available to individuals and families seeking to purchase a residence in the District of Columbia. The Daily Drum is a news and information program on WHUR 96.3 FM, one of the top urban music radio stations in the nation’s capital. The interview was conducted by Harold T. Fisher, Reporter/Host of The Daily Drum which airs Monday through Friday from 7:00 – 7:30 pm on WHUR 96.3 FM.

DCHFA Executive Director, Harry D. Sewell, Promotes the Re-Launch of the DC Bond Program On-Air during the Steve Harvey Morning Show
On May 11, 2010, the Executive Director of the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency, Harry D. Sewell, was featured during the Tony Takes It to the Streets segment of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Tony Takes It to the Streets is a local programming segment supported by the national morning show that provides valuable, pertinent information to listeners in the DC metropolitan region. The interview was conducted by Tony Richards, On-Air Talent and Host of The Show which airs each Saturday from 2:00 – 6:00 pm on WHUR 96.3 FM.
Sewell recorded two segments of two and a half minutes each. They were aired during the height of the morning rush at 8:12 am and 8:43 am respectively.

Harry D. Sewell Presents the New Issue Bond Program
The Executive Director of the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency, Harry D. Sewell, was asked to discuss the US Department of Treasury’s New Issue Bond Program (NIBP) at a recent Housing Update conference held by Pepper Hamilton LLP. The conference was hosted by Pepper Hamilton LLP partner, Shel Schrieberg, and was held at its Washington DC office on March 9, 2010.
While the principal discussion in the session focused on the Agency’s NIBP allocation and how the program works, the session covered a range of other topics as well including the District’s administration of related American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.
